Digital Sanctum / Remote support

Let’s get you
connected.

Keep this page open while you’re on the phone with us. We’ll help you through it, one step at a time.

For a support session you’ve arranged with Digital Sanctum.

1 Download

Start on your Windows computer.

This downloads the RustDesk app, ready to connect to Digital Sanctum.

Download for Windows

Windows 64-bit 26 MB One app file (.exe)

When it finishes, open it from Chrome’s downloads. See step 2 below.

Already downloaded? Show me the next step

2 Open

Stay in Chrome.
Open your download here.

  1. Click the Downloads ↓ button at the top right of Chrome.
  2. Wait for the download to finish, then click the file beginning rustdesk-Digital-Sanctum to open it.

If asked where to save the file, choose Save, then follow these steps.

Can’t see the Downloads button?

Click Chrome’s three-dot menu ⋮ at the top right, then choose Downloads. Click the downloaded app in that list.

3 Connect

Tell us the number
under “Your ID”.

The app opens in a new window called RustDesk. Keep it open.

  1. Read the Your ID number to the Digital Sanctum technician you’re speaking with.
  2. If we ask for a password, read the Password shown in RustDesk, just below your ID.

This is the temporary password in the app. Keep your Windows sign-in password to yourself.

Your own number and password will be different from this illustration.

RustDesk illustration: Your ID is highlighted above the Password field. The sample ID is 123 456 789. Read the ID and, when asked, the password from your own RustDesk window.

We’ll take it from here, together.

Stay on the phone and leave RustDesk open while we connect. If an Accept request appears, accept only the connection you’re expecting from us. You can choose Disconnect in RustDesk to end the session at any time.

A little help, if you need it

Something look different?

Stay on the phone with us and describe what you can see.

Chrome or Windows has blocked the file

Leave your security protection switched on. Read the exact message and blocked filename to your technician. If the message has a Learn more option, it may show which file was blocked.

I downloaded an earlier ZIP file

Use the Download for Windows button above for the single app file. Then open it from Chrome as shown in step 2. This version does not need to be extracted or started with a CMD file.

The app has a very long filename

That’s expected. Look for the name beginning rustdesk-Digital-Sanctum. Leave its name unchanged so the Digital Sanctum connection settings stay with it.

I already use RustDesk with someone else

Tell your Digital Sanctum technician before opening this copy or changing any settings. We’ll help you choose the right setup for your computer.
